Responsible for coordination and direction of safe and efficient patient care and throughput in the hospital by providing a communication link with ED, patient registration, LIPs and nursing units. Serves as clinical resource person in delivery and supervision of direct and indirect care processes. Provides competent leadership and direction for all hospital Codes and emergency management. Serves as agent for department and hospital executives when they are not present and reports concerns and events to the designated administrator on call.

Minimum Education Requirements
BSN required
MSN or Master‚ s Degree in related field preferred
Minimum Experience Requirements
Nursing leadership experience required. Recent experience in supervision of others (within past 3 years); strong coaching, mentoring and leadership skills.
Five years of relevant hospital nursing experience preferred.
Two years critical care experience preferred.
Expected to effectively manage through a regulatory survey; familiar with Joint Commission and CMS regulations. Demonstrated nursing experience in an acute care setting with diversified clinical knowledge. Must be qualified by continuous and ongoing education and experience to apply leadership direction, assessment and problem solving to assist nursing and all ancillary/support services in the care of neonate to adult populations.
Current Colorado RN License
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
PALS required upon hire or within three months of hire/transfer.
Current ENPC may substitute for PALS requirement through the ENPC expiration date.
PALS certification must be secured prior to ENPC expiration date.
Clinical or Nurse Executive certification preferred
Physical Requirements
Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
